This is the official site of Road Runner Sports, a real US running-shoe retailer operating since 1983 with 50+ physical stores, BBB accreditation, and major-brand partnerships (Brooks, HOKA, ASICS, Nike). The site itself shows no phishing or fake-store patterns. The only notable gripe is a consumer-friction issue, not fraud: its VIP membership auto-renews annually and some customers report unexpected renewal charges.
The red flag our scan surfaced on roadrunnersports.com
VIP membership auto-renewal complaints
lowTrustpilot and Reddit reviewers report being charged $49.99–$99.99 annual VIP renewal fees they didn't expect; the terms do disclose auto-renewal (charged 14 days before the renewal date) with prorated refunds available, so it's a subscription-billing annoyance rather than a scam.

What should you do right now?
- No major red flags isn't a guarantee — still pay with a credit card rather than a debit card, wire, or gift cards, so any surprise stays disputable.
- Keep records for anything you order: screenshot the product page and save the confirmation email.
- If the site changes — new payment methods, sudden deep discounts, a different checkout — re-run the live check on the exact URL for a current verdict before trusting it again.
